I was born to save and restore Biafra' - IPOB director, Nnamdi Kanu says

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, says he was born to save and restore Biafra. According to a statement released by the Media and Publicity Secretary of the Independent People of Biafra IPOB, Emma Powerful, Kanu said this while speaking to some of his members who recently paid him a visit at Kuje prisons. The statement reads in part;

"The reason my mother gave birth to me was to restore and save Biafrans. I also promise that the Biafran race will be a cleaned up nation and all the people of Biafra will come back home, if they are living outside the country of the new nation. Our people will no longer wander on the road again. How can I encourage the people of Biafra to work towards the upbringing of Nigeria, when we don’t speak the same language, don’t eat the same food and don’t have the same culture. In fact, if we come to their land to practice our culture and religion, we will be beheaded. Their women wear hijab, and Biafran women don’t, and on the point that our women don’t wear hijab and we don’t practice the same religion, they will see us as infidels and then, we will be beheaded. We are 100 per cent Christians. These people are Muslims who see killing as a culture.
In Biafra where we originated from, it will be hard for our people to kill a human being, because in my language a human being is called MMANDU, which means in English language the beauty of life. Now, you can see it will never work, the only solution is Biafra. We are not trying to secede from Nigeria. We are older than Nigeria. You can only talk about seceding if Nigeria is the one that colonized Biafra. But we are older than that contraption. So we can’t secede rather we just want to go back the way we were before the British came. It is Biafra or nothing, Nigerians knows that.”

Photos: Shocking moment a knife-wielding man attacks a woman in broad daylight

A man was filmed attacking a woman with a knife in broad daylight, at a busy roadside in Datong City, Shanxi province, northern China. From the video shared, it looked like he was trying to kill her by trying to stab her several times with a large knife as she lay on the road.

The Maniac stayed on top of her and tried to cut her as she screamed for help. Trying to escape from his grasp, she courageously fought back, grabbing his wrist in a desperate bid to protect herself.

What was disturbing about this video was that no one tried to help her, including the person filming it. It was a brave man who spotted them from the other side of the road that rushed over to her rescue and overpowered the frenzied street slasher from behind. Several male passersbys who were closer now joined to beat and tie him up. Local police have reportedly started an investigation into the crime. It's unclear if the man knew the woman...

Linus Idahosa’s response to the Bill seeking to reduce the age qualification for candidates wishing to contest for elective offices

Below is what he thinks...
We often forget that Jesus Christ is our biggest example of a Youth Leader, who at 33 was done and had raised disciples, who centuries later are still influencing and gathering billions of adherents the world over.
My take has always been and will continue to be that Wisdom, Leadership and the Capacity to chart a path to a prosperous nation is not and cannot be the exclusive preserve of those above 40, but it is an inherent quality that providence bestows on one and the challenges of life help to enhance, refine and sharpen in one.

At any rate, no man lives forever and failure to deliberately, conscientiously and willingly transfer power to succeeding generations in their prime is a contradiction and an aberrant life cycle unknown to nature and trust me; nature always corrects itself.

It’s one thing for the bill to be passed; it’s another thing for the Nigerian youth to rise to the occasion, because the system as presently constituted is not designed to give it on a platter; instead it prides itself in creating a generation of Special Assistants (SA’s). It’s entirely up to the Nigerian youth to activate and enforce the strength of its number.

The French security official said that authorities are still “very cautious” about the warning and that these sort of notes are passed on to security officials regularly. He also said that this does not affect how seriously the government are treating the threat.

It is not clear whether the warning could be linked to the brutal murder of a police chief and his wife outside Paris on Monday.The official could not comment on specific details of the threat.

Belgian security is keeping security levels the same. Benoit Ramacker, spokesman for the Crisis Centre said:
 “We are still on level three, quite a high level of threat.”
