Joe Jonas has inked an exclusive, worldwide publishing agreement with Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG).
The deal covers the singer's new songs for DNCE, including the group's debut single “Cake By The Ocean” (Republic Records), which has gone Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and is certified platinum. With “Cake By The Ocean,” Jonas has achieved the rare feat of landing a U.S. Top 10 as a solo artist and with two groups (DNCE and The Jonas Brothers).

“It
takes a very special artist to achieve worldwide success in one group,
and then to achieve that same kind of success again in another one," says UMPG chairman and CEO Jody Gerson in announcing the signing. "Joe
Jonas is that rare talent, having scored hits as a singer and
songwriter first with the Jonas Brothers and now with DNCE. His
creativity, hard work and passion are remarkable and I'm thrilled to
have him join UMPG’s roster of great artists and writers."Adds Jonas, “I’ve had the opportunity to work with the team at UMPG from the inception of DNCE and they’ve been an essential part of breaking the band. This deal with them further solidifies our relationship and allows me to continue to stay true to my vision and what I love most, in addition to where I’m taking DNCE."
DNCE will open for Selena Gomez on her North American tour through the summer. Jonas is managed by Phil McIntyre, CEO and founder of Philymack.
