According to reports, a woman allegedly got her former lover arrested for getting another woman pregnant. The woman identified as Ogechi Obinma, had allegedly paid her lover 29-year-old Chukwuemeka Obodozie, the sum of N280,000 to make him marry her. introduction and traditional marriage. Obinma did not realize it was a plot by Obodozie to dump her and move on to a woman who was already pregnant with his baby. Obodozie allegedly confessed when Obinma saw the pregnant woman in his house, that he was responsible for the pregnancy and needed the money to take care of the woman and her baby. Refusing to accept the ‘offer’ Obinma took the matter to the police after Obodozie threatened to kill her, asking to get her money back in full from him as she didn’t want to be the financier of his marriage to someone else. Obodozie was allegedly arrested and charged with obtaining money under false pretenses and threat to life. When he appeared before a magistrate’s court sitting at Ejigbo, Lagos state, he pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
