On April 1, Sahara
Reporters tried to play an ‘April Fool’ prank with a report that
President Muhammadu Buhari collapsed in Washington DC, where he is
attending the Nuclear Security Summit with other world leaders.
The presidency reacted to this immediately, stating that the prank was a
senseless one as President Buhari was healthy and ready for the day’s
activities in the United States of America with other world leaders.
And to confirm the claims, Femi Adesina, Buhari’s special assistant on
media and publicity, released some photos of the president with other
world leaders during the summit, especially one where he was all smiles.
The Nigerian leader also met President Obama of the USA and exchanged a
warm handshake with him.
